Chatham is one of Cape Cod's most celebrated towns, known for its elegant Main Street, the Chatham Lighthouse, the Chatham Band playing on the bandstand every Friday in summer, and exceptional seafood thanks to Chatham's working fish pier. The town has a refined, unhurried character and some of the Cape's finest accommodation.
Visit Chatham Fish Pier at dawn to watch the boats unload, take in the view from Chatham Lighthouse over North Beach, and browse Main Street's independent shops and galleries. Catch the Friday Band concert on the bandstand in summer. Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge offers seal watching and birdwatching trips from the harbour.
Chatham has some of the finest dining on the Cape. The Chatham Bars Inn dining room is world-class. Del Mar Bar & Bistro is excellent for creative seasonal cuisine. Chatham Fish & Lobster Company serves the freshest fish straight from the pier. Impudent Oyster is a beloved local institution for seafood and atmosphere.

Chatham is excellent year-round but peaks in July and August. The Friday Band concerts run late June through August. The Chatham Bars Inn and many restaurants stay open well into autumn. September and October are superb, the light is extraordinary, seals are more active, and Main Street is peaceful without summer crowds.
